THE OLD GLOBE

Fall 2025

Gather ye lords and ladies, fairies and wizards, knights and dragons at the Kingsbridge Midsummer Renaissance Faire, which comes to glorious life in the world premiere musical comedy Huzzah! Two sisters, one a princess and one who works in insurance, must stop fighting to save their father’s Renaissance Faire from financial ruin (and the occasional mead-based fire). When they gamble the payroll to hire the greatest swordsman on the whole Ren Faire circuit, will things go fair or foul at the Faire? Don thy doublet, cinch thy corset, and grab a turkey leg for a midsummer night’s screamingly funny musical by Olivier Award winners and Tony Award nominees Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde, Heathers the Musical, Bat Boy) and Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, the Globe’s Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical), and directed by Lortel Award-winning Annie Tippe (Off Broadway’s Octet).

GHOST QUARTET: 10 Year Anniversary Concert

GREENWOOD CEMETERY

BY DAVE MALLOY

DIRECTED BY ANNIE TIPPE

June 25-28, 2025

Award-winning composer Dave Malloy calls his genre-obliterating Ghost Quartet "a song cycle about love, death, and whiskey," which is basically our entire artistic ethos distilled into a single sentence. For the show's 10th anniversary, Malloy reunites with co-creators Brent Arnold, Brittain Ashford, and Gelsey Bell (whose opera morning//mourning graced the Catacombs last September). For three nights, as the sun begins to set across Green-Wood, performers and audience members will be nestled together amid historic gravestones with sweeping views of the New York City skyline as a backdrop.

Malloy's acclaimed, deeply-moving work tells an interwoven tale spanning seven centuries, exploring the nature of narrative, and how the stories we tell continue to haunt us across generations.

CAA ED MIRVISH THEATRE

April 16 - May 10th (extended), 2025

Britta Johnson is one of Canada’s most acclaimed composers, lyricists and writers for musical theatre. LIFE AFTER is her celebrated and luminous musical which premiered in Toronto in 2017 and played a sold-out run at the Berkeley Street Theatre. It was subsequently produced at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre and Chicago’s Goodman Theatre. It returns to Toronto's CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre in a major new production helmed by Tony Award and Olivier Award-winning producers Yonge Street Theatricals for a strictly limited engagement.

Despite being a famous self-help author, Frank Carter's optimistic advice offers little solace to his 16-year-old daughter, Alice. After his untimely death, Alice embarks on a quest for truth, unravelling the events that changed her family forever.
