DIRECTING THE PREMIERE OF OCTET, A NEW MUSICAL BY DAVE MALLOY, AS PART OF THE SIGNATURE THEATRE'S 2019/2020 SEASON!
by James + Jerome
Co-directed with Rachel Chavkin
Saturday, January 5th @ 7pm
Sunday, January 6th @ 12pm + 3pm
INK is an art lecture, live personal essay, and electronic music concert all in one. With stunning visuals by media designer Shawn Duan, musician-storyteller duo James Harrison Monaco and Jerome Ellis perform a lush live score as they lovingly analyze works from around the world, exploding the traditional art lecture into a unique theatrical experience—one that’s at once playful, intellectual, and spiritual. Together, they guide us through a meditation on calligraphy and illuminated manuscripts, on music and silence, and on Jerome’s intimate relationship to the spoken and written word, in this first ever collaboration between Under the Radar and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

BESS WOHL'S CONTINUITY PREMIERES AT "NEW STAGES" AT THE GOODMAN THEATRE IN CHICAGO!
By Bess Wohl
Directed by Annie Tippe
Sept 22 - Oct 8, 2017
On a soundstage in a desert in New Mexico meant to look like a melting ice sheet in Greenland, things are running way behind schedule. As over-qualified-but-under-recognized director Maria tries to salvage her big-budget thriller about climate change and eco-terrorism, her cast and screenwriter waste precious minutes of daylight with error-ridden mis-takes and behind-the-scenes drama. Bess Wohl’s startlingly funny new play examines what is worth saving and what isn’t—especially when we’re facing the end of the world.
